An Osceola deputy was injured at an intersection when one driver violated the right of way and caused a three-car crash. The collision occurred about 5:55 a.m. at the intersection of Lakeside Drive and Boggy Creek Road. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reports that a 61-year-old from Kissimmee driving a Kia ran the light at the intersection and a 45-year-old woman from Kissimmee then swerved to miss the Kia. Unfortunately, her BMW hit the deputy’s cruiser. The 29-year-old deputy was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center. There is no word in this story from Local 6 News in Orlando about his condition, but the Kia driver, who the FHP says was at- fault, was not injured. The BMW driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Florida Hospital.
